Whilst there is a need for more housing, it should not all be at the expense of our green spaces. Our plan delivers the right housing, with schools and transport links in mind, to make sure new developments work for us.
We’ll protect ourselves from over development and prioritise building in the right areas.
We’ll rewrite the local plan to make sure that our housing numbers are no higher than they need to be.
Use the brown field fund for domestic buildings only, to encourage developers to build homes on brown field land rather than green field.
Work with all Parish and Town Councils to help them write their own Neighbourhood Plan to ensure that every town and village develops a plan that works for them.
Get tough on land bankers by dedicating staff time to cracking down and issuing fines for unsightly land.
