We’ll bring together young and old to tackle social inclusion and loneliness, and look at the impact public transport has on how socially included people are.
Support schools through the Pendle Challenge, by providing a match funded grant which challenges schools to try new ideas, such as the Pendle Reading Challenge, to improve outcomes.
Support our local football clubs by handing over ownership of the grounds. We’ll hand over ownership to Colne F.C, Nelson F.C. and Barnoldswick Town F.C. for just £1, to help with their long term stability.
Tackle loneliness by working with our schools and groups, such as Pendle Seniors, to ensure people right across our society get to benefit from living in Pendle.
A New Digital Plan. Keeping people in touch no matter where they are, and ensuring those who are vulnerable aren’t caught out by new technology, such as advice on contactless payment, social media and email.
Offer the right support to every part of our vibrant Borough by giving voluntary groups, sports groups and parish councils the resources they need to deliver vital care across our community.
