Skipton Old Road in Colne was named as one of the most dangerous roads in Pendle, after it became littered in deep potholes forcing drivers onto the other side of the road. It has now been repaired with a large section of the road being completely resurfaced.
County Coun. for Pendle Rural, Jennifer Purcell, commented, “I have been pushing the Highways Team at the County Council to complete this work as quickly as possible whilst keeping it to a high standard. I’m pleased with the result and will continue to monitor the road to make sure it never gets as bad as it was before.”
Coun. Purcell continued, “Alongside this issue, I have also been reporting and chasing up action on potholes across our area and I will continue to do so. If there are any potholes or road defects near you, please get in touch with me and I’ll make sure the County Council gets onto them.”
